We are a play-based learning preschool, focused on the investigative process and problem solving. We use an emergent curriculum, following the interests of the children to direct the learning in the classroom. Teachers incorporate specific skills, such as fine and gross motor development, literacy and numeracy practice, and social and emotional growth into the process of investigating and creating.
PoPP opened in September 1970 as an outreach of Prince of Peace Lutheran church. This outreach is a non-profit and financially self-supporting activity of Prince of Peace Church.
Students attend Chapel led by our pastor every week, offer prayers of thanks in class, sing songs of praise, and hear the message that God created them and that He loves them.
We desire to show children what Christianity is all about . . . love! Christian values and tradition are at the core of our program. We welcome and respect families of all faith backgrounds.
